Thank You to Everyone Who Made Our First RSD So Special 🤘

Thank You to Everyone Who Made Our First RSD So Special 🤘

WELL THAT WAS ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!

We would just love to say a huge thank you to everyone who came and supported us on our first ever Record Store Day. It was a very special day for us here at Tough Love and we couldn't have asked for a better community of crate diggers to have joined us in celebrating our shared love of the vinyl format and music in general.

Every one of you audiophiles came in all shapes, sizes, creeds and ages. From the youngest of the bunch, Henry buying his first ever record, (pictured below) to some unsuspecting Taylor Swift fans pretending that copy of Folklore was "for their kids". It was sincerely magical to see everyone's faces light up when they found what they were looking for.

After a brief discussion on the Beatles extensive back-catalogue we agreed this would be a good starting point for Henry's vinyl collection.

And of course, any of our regulars will know that, we never miss the opportunity to show off the incredible local music scene within Hastings and St Leonard's and RSD23 was no exception! We had, the incredible hardcore-punk-rockers, Comeback Clit tearing down the house, with their sound reminiscent of bands such as Pettybone and Black Flag, they resonated with the punks who had been there and done that as well as inspiring the younger teenage crowd who had been eagerly awaiting to get their hands on the Pixies release that very morning.

We cannot wait to see what is in store (all puns intended) for next year and we hope that we will see you all very soon for a coffee and a chat about all things music. Records are for everyone, all of the time not just RSD!
